Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the app asking for my location?
Karman E6B uses your location to find the nearest airport and retrieve current aviation weather (METAR/TAF). Your coordinates stay on your device — only the airport identifier is used to fetch weather data. You can deny location access and select airports manually instead.
Does the app work offline?
E6B calculations work fully offline. Weather data and airport lookups require an internet connection. Previously viewed data may be available from your device's cache.
Is my data collected or shared?
No. Karman E6B does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The weather data seems outdated. What should I do?
Aviation weather (METAR) is typically updated once per hour at most airports. If the data appears stale, check your internet connection and try refreshing. Always verify weather through official sources (e.g., 1800wxbrief.com) before any flight.
How do I report a bug?
Send us an email at sales@karmanlogs.com with the details listed above. We appreciate all feedback and work to resolve issues promptly.
